The 73rd Independence Day of India was celebrated with all its solemnity and grandeur at BVM (USN) today. The decoration and ambience of the school reflected the festive mood. Bisman Singh (a student of VIII-B) recited a patriotic poem, paying a tribute to all the freedom fighters who sacrificed their present for our future. It gladdened the heart to see children’s participation with much zeal and zest. A Choreography ‘Hamare Sapno Ka Bharat’ commemorating the freedom struggle was presented by the students of class IV.
Catalyzing the feelings of care and affection of siblings, Raksha Bandhan was celebrated. The Bvmites made extremely beautiful creative masterpieces in the form of Rakhis. A short skit was enacted by the students of class IV highlighting the significance of this Raksha Bandhan.
Along with this ‘Sanskrit Day’ was also observed. Mr Rajkumar (Sanskrit teacher) apprised the students with the importance of the Sanskrit language. Rendition of Sanskrit shalokas from the Gita enthralled the audience. A unique awareness rally was taken out to create awareness regarding this day among the people of the city.
Sh. O.P. Sabharwal Ji (Member BVM Trust) blessed and congratulated the Bvmites on this auspicious occasion. Addressing Bvmites on this eve Mrs. Ranju Mangal (Vice Principal) motivated the students to develop a sense of responsibility to preserve freedom and make our motherland clean and free from discrimination. The event culminated with the national song.
